Ishaan Swarup, MD

Dr. Swarup is a fellowship-trained pediatric orthopaedic surgeon who evaluates and treats infants, children, and young adults with a wide spectrum of musculoskeletal conditions. His areas of interest include disorders of the hip and hip preservation.

In addition to clinical practice, Dr. Swarup is actively involved with clinical research. His particular interests include clinical epidemiology and outcomes research, and he has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications. He also serves as the Director of Pediatric Orthopaedic Trauma at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland and he is the Associate Director of the Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery Fellowship at UCSF.
