Eduardo Novais, MD

Dr. Eduardo Novais is a pediatric orthopaedic surgeon specializing in hip dysplasia and hip fractures. He is part of the Orthopedic Center and the Child and Young Adult Hip Preservation Program at Boston Children’s Hospital.

Dr. Novais earned his medical degree and completed his residency in Orthopedic Surgery at the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais in Brazil. He pursued multiple fellowships in pediatric orthopaedics, adolescent and young adult hip preservation, and musculoskeletal oncology, training at prestigious institutions including Boston Children’s Hospital, the Mayo Clinic, the University of Utah, and the Campbell Clinic.

Fluent in English and Portuguese, Dr. Novais is certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and has held leadership roles, including Director of the Hip Program at Children’s Hospital Colorado, before joining Boston Children’s Hospital.
